In honor of todays occasion, I wrote a little poem that I would like to share here : Your fire has burned away, But your smoke still lingers on. It has spread to all corners of the earth! Your essence is now reflected, In the hearts of those you have touched. Beautifully scarred, we still shed tears! You have taught us more than our minds can hold. In return, we give infinite gratitude! Let this pain of seperation vanish, For we are all one and united! As the hungry need food, Peace be upon you and all sentient beings. - I will spend today in deep reflection. Infinite love and respect to the family on this day and always. The whole world loves you Shawn!

Powers of Ten is a must in every guitar player's collection of "must have" music. It was awesome then, it is awesome now.

I have loved Shawn since 86' when I got a tape from Paul Gilbert. We couldn't believe what we were hearing. I did finally get to see him in 2001 at Ziggy's in Winston Salem,N.C. (with Jonas) I hung out till after the show and was taken back with how nice and polite he was. The world will surely miss one of the great(if not the greatest) talents of the century but also a great human being. Live long Shawn Lane.

I've played guitar for 43 years. A mix of blues rock (Hendrix), jazz (a friend of mine Ted Greene) and fusion (All of the modern players like Vai, etc). Last week I was introduced to Shawn Lane's amazing style. He instantly became my favorite guitarist.

Hello Shawn Lane I must say, really changed my view on Fusion. I've listen to Allan Holdsworth and Gambale for a long time, but Shawn take the fusionstyle to a completley new level of playing. I love his sound, and every solo part he does is outstanding! He shure know how to play. Shawn Lane must be one of the most skilled guitarist in the world. Fusion on!
