I used to go to Alfreds East in the late 80's and would see Shawn and the Willy's play. Wow was he great, I had a friend who was a good guitar player, and he knew how great Shawn really was. God bless he and his family.

I never had the pleasure of meeting or seeing Shawn Lane play live sadly, but by each song I hear by him and every video I view of his past shows, I see so much love in how he played not just each song, but each note, he is by far one of the greatest influences in my life right now as I continue my learning of the guitar. I send out all the love I can give to his family. and hope to one day touch as many hearts as he did with the gift of music.

I had the pleasure of meeting Shawn in October of 96 in Southampton England after His gig at "The Brook. All I can say is that I have never met Anyone like Shawn Lane. Basically I couldn't keep up with His intelligence in conversation. The books He must have read and the art He inspired to,to have a knowledge like He presented as an individual. He gave Me that Day in 96 as a Day I recall very often, and sometimes think of the People who knew Him, and the pleasures He must have brought to Their lives. Thank You.. Reese Smith.
