Shawn tu à etais un exemple pour toute une génération de guitariste et je te remercie du fond du coeur pour tout se que tu a apporté a la musique, je ne t'ai jamais rencontré et malheureusement cela n'arrivera jamais, mais sache que tu a laisser une trace indélébile dans mon coeur, et que peut etre sans toi je n'aurais pas pris la voie de la musique comme profession.
Je voulait que tu sache que tu vas bien nous manquer a tous car tu étais vraiment quelqu'un d'extraordinaire tant par ton génie musical que par ta prestence et ta présence étais pour plus d'un le passage d'un ouragan de créativiter et d'amour de la guitare et de la musique en générale.
encore merci a toi on pense a toi et j'espere que sur ton nuage la haut tu continu à faire ces chose que seul toi pouvais faire.
je tennais aussi avec certe un retard de pres de 5 ans envoyer tout mon respect et mes sincere condoléance a toute ta famille et leur donnés par la même toute mon affection.

I used to go to Alfreds East in the late 80's and would see Shawn and the Willy's play. Wow was he great, I had a friend who was a good guitar player, and he knew how great Shawn really was. God bless he and his family.

I never had the pleasure of meeting or seeing Shawn Lane play live sadly, but by each song I hear by him and every video I view of his past shows, I see so much love in how he played not just each song, but each note, he is by far one of the greatest influences in my life right now as I continue my learning of the guitar. I had the pleasure of meeting Shawn in October of 96 in Southampton England after His gig at "The Brook. All I can say is that I have never met Anyone like Shawn Lane. Basically I couldn't keep up with His intelligence in conversation.The books He must have read and the art He inspired to,to have a knowledge like He presented as an individual. He gave Me that Day in 96 as a Day I recall very often, and sometimes think of the People who knew Him, and the pleasures He must have brought to Their lives. Thank You.. Reese Smith.
