I'm a 43 year old rookie on the guitar, who until about two months ago, never heard of Shawn. Almost as soon as I picked up my first guitar, I started to hear how great he was. I started to seek out his music, leading me to this and other tribute websites. Hearing and seeing Shawn play was an awakening. I can't believe such a talent as been under my radar for so long.

I first heard Shawn years ago when I brought the "Powers of Ten" on cassette! I'm now playing catch up on everything else I can find by him and, so far, everything he did with Jonas Hellborg just leaves me in a state of amazement. Music this good lives forever and gains momentum with every fresh set of ears it captures. Thankyou for the website and Peace to his family.

I just came upon Shawn's spots on Youtube and was amazed! In all the years I've been in music somehow I was not familiar with him or his music but plan to spend alot of time listening now!Simply a wonderful artist!Listening to music like this makes me remember why I became a musician.I would love to have heard Shawn and Alan Holdsworth perform together! Both such fluid, liquid guitarists. Take care.

I'm just saying hello. I've been seeing a lot great clips of Shawn on the net. It inspired me to buy his Power Licks DVD. His technical abilities are astonishing yet he's very musical at the same time. It's amazing to watch him perfectly execute complex ideas at warp speed . I'd like to learn a few passages in "slow motion". Regards, DZ

Back in the early days I was fortunate to sit in with Shawn and play drums covering some ZZ Top at a local Memphis club. How I would have loved to lay down some drum tracks on some origional works with him. I quess I am just lucky enough to have performed with such a talented musician. What an inspiration. God bless you brother.

I’m listening to “Esperanto” right now, what a wonderful music! Althogh I listened extensively to the music Shawn recorded with Jonas Hellborg, I was not familiar with other Shawn’s works. He truly was a gifted musician!
